Its been awhile

I know its been way too long since my last post with pictures. Just been incredibly busy with the boys ;) They are getting so big now. Jaxon last weight 9-24-11 14lbs 14.6oz and Chace last weight 9-24-11 12lbs 3.1oz. Both of them have gained more than 1 ounce per day since their last weight check which means they are right on track :) They will be 4 months tomorrow and are very occasionally rolling over, mostly think its just by luck. Today was Chace first roll though. We will see what happens now. Technically they are only a little over 2 months old so I think they are right on track for everything. OMG these boys have the most adorable personalities already, they are both smiling and talking up a storm. Jaxon a little more than Chace with the talking but it is soo funny. I swear they change every day. Will post some updated pics. They went to the Erie Orchard for the first time but we didnt get any pictures because it was so windy out so hopefully we can go again before it gets too cold. So stressed about the upcoming cold and flu season just wish I could put them in a bubble until spring. I think I need a big sign that hangs from them that says please dont touch...lol or at least please wash hands. Just praying we all stay healthy. They have finally experienced the grocery store and target and babies r us. I think Chace is going to be the one that always wants to go with mom and Jaxon would be happy just staying home because Chace is wide awake whenever we go anywhere and Jaxon just sleeps the whole time. Justin says Jaxon will never believe we took him anywhere because he sleeps through everything :) The boys are sleeping pretty well. We do bathtime and rock them then put them in bed at 8:00 ish then I feed them at 11:00 and they sleep til 6:00am. Finally getting some sleep. Hopefully we get to start cereal soon!

13weeks 1day old

So exciting news today. Jaxon rolled over from his belly to back today, and it wasn't not a fluke because he continued to do it the rest of the day... So cute man they are growing up. So hard to believe. I'm sure Chace will be a couple weeks behind him. He Is still trying to master getting his head up during tummy time, I've seen him do it and I know he is strong sometimes I just think he is being a lazy butt ;) they don't have another dr appt until October and my lactation consultant needed her scale back so I am dying to know what they weigh. I may step on the scale tonight and see if I can get an idea of what they are weighing. Jaxon is in 3-6 but closer to 6mon clothes now and Chace is in 3-6mon clothes. Thank god for my friend Sabrina who let me go through her clothes from her twin boys that were born last year, it's been a life saver. Anyway other than enjoying the smiling,beginnings of giggles and cooing and seeing their sweet faces everyday there is nothing else new here. I just got an iPad 2 so aim not sure how to get my pics on here yet:( I will try to figure out and post soon.

Okay so I am doing my weekly update. Not too much has changed. The boys are really starting to interact with us more, smiling when we talk to them they look like they are ready to start laughing soon, It is so precious. They are still doing more grunting than anything but I think its only a matter of time before that turns into cooing :) They are getting so big so fast. I gave them a bath this morning Jaxon weighed 11lbs 1.4 oz and Chace weighed 9lbs 1.7 oz. They are gaining weight so well. I am in the process of initiating formula as I am trying to wean off of breastfeeding so we will see how that goes today. Jaxon seems really fussy after he eats not sure if he just needs more or if he ate too much or if he just has a tummyache. All I know is these boys have an abnormal amount of gas!!! Must take after their father...hahaha just kidding. They have their first set of shots tomorrow at the doctors office so it will probably be a very long weekend. Hopefully they dont get too fussy with them. I put in my 2 week notice at work yesterday so I will officially be a stay at home mom at least for now. Will be a little stressful but so worth it to be able to see my boys grow and be with them. Justin is the best husband and father anyone could ask for and our boys are so lucky to have him. So their ultrasounds of their brains and hips went well yesterday no braiin bleeds and hips look good, they do those as a precaution because they were preemies. Okay hopefully next week we have more good updates :)

9 weeks 2 days old..... First photo shoot today

Hello all.... Its been  a busy couple weeks but I am finally getting an update here. The boys are doing amazing. Chace finally got his oxygen off and now we just have the monitor for 2 more weeks. he is doing great. Last doctor appt which was 1 week ago Jaxon was 9lb 8oz and Chace was 8lbs 1oz kso they have tripled their weights since birth :) They are starting to be more awake for longer periods now, even though Jaxon still sleeps most of the time and he is already eating 5-6 oz every 3-4 hours! Chace is at about 4 oz every 3 hours. They are stretching their nighttime feedings out just a bit so I am hoping they continue that !!!
They are starting to really focus on us now and even starting to smile appropriately, they are learning quickly how to get mom and dads attention. If I pick up one boy because he is fussing then the other one all of a sudden will start crying to be picked up... They are learning that stuff way too early :) But I love them so much and if I just had 2 more arms i would hold them both all day long.. We are starting to get somewhat of a routine down although I still feel like I get nothing accomplished at home. My cousins bought us a double jogging stroller which is amazing and cannot wait to get out and start using it now that I have more energy during the day. They are due for their first shots next week :( they are getting 3 at once so Im sure they wont be feeling too good next week. Pretty soon I can start taking them out and about like normal which I cannot wait for. They really are the best babies they really only cry when they are hungry or want to be snuggled. Chace also will not have anything to do with a dirty diaper. If he has a poopy diaper while he is eating he will literally shut down and will not eat until his diaper is changed...lol... They are getting their first professional pictures done today, finally our first REAL family pictures. Well thats about it for now. I promise to start updating more frequently :)

SLEEP.............is definitely a thing of the past :)

I tell myself everyday, " Heather, you are going to sleep when they sleep today" however for some reason when I get up I find myself picking up the house and doing laundry instead of laying down. I feel like I should be doing something since I am home. Justin says you need to sleep who cares about the house, for the next month we are in survival mode..hahaha I love him. I am really going to start taking naps though because i find myself so tired in the middle of the night and early morning that I am trying to push their feedings as long as we can and then by the time I finally get up and get it ready they fall back to sleep  and dont eat very much.

I think Murphy has finally accepted his new brothers :)

:(  This morning the greatest father in law in the world brought me any iced capp...mmm just what I needed to start my day. Its the little things like hopping in the car and going to get an iced capp I miss. Once Chace comes off his oxygen Ill be able to do a little more at least, surely wont just be hoppping in the car since it is such a process going anywhere. But again I love it and wouldnt change it for anything. Just cant wait to get some sort of routine down for everything. We are still trying to get the eating down pat, but what works seems to change by the day. The boys had their eye dr appt yesterday and doctor said all looks good. woo hoo. Sometimes in premature babies they can develop retinopathy of prematurity and can end up blind. Although if my children end up with our eyesight they will be blind anyway ...lol poor kids :) Their next dr appt is next wed and Chace oxygen test is Tuesday so next week will be a big week. Just hope its all good news and we can lose the oxygen!!! The boys are getting so big, they both look like normal newborns now instead of preemies. They both have chunky faces and are getting double chins...hahaha The last time I weighed them with their bath was Saturday or Sunday ( cant remember) but Chace weighed 6lbs 1oz and Jaxon weighed 6lbs 15oz. So they are still about a poumd different which has been consistent and they are still growing like crazy. Okay well I have some updated pictures and will post again soon!

So the boys are growing so much i cant even believe it. I swear just in the last few days Chace has really gotten bigger and is now catching up with his brother. Im willing to bet he does not need this oxygen anymore either, its like he just matured all of a sudden. If I only had a pulse ox machine I would check him myself instead of waiting until July 26th :) Anyway. they are starting to be more like newborns rather than preemies now, and I think they have found their lungs too because they are not afraid to show me what they can do...LOL As of our last dr appt which was wednesday the 7th Jaxon was 5lbs 13oz and Chace was 5lbs, so both of them gained about 10oz in the last week. Dr says they look great and it is amazing how well theyare doing and gaining weight, he said to keep doing whatever we are doing :) Aside from feeding, feeding, feeding we have been doing alot of praying! We are usually up every 3hours to eat however in the last day one of them decides they are hungry in between feeds and it screws my schedule all up I think they are going through another growth spurt. Trying to figure out the easiest way to feed 2 children along with burping them and pumping all at the same time. We almost have it down!! Aside from lack of sleep, and smelling like breastmilk and vomit all the time I am doing great. Just trying to learn what all the sounds and cries mean, is it diaper, hunger, gas, or just wanting to be held? Here are a few updated pictures. I havent been posting alot because since they still dont do too much they would all look the same as before them laying down swaddled and sleeping hahaha.
